Administrator submissions

Trucker Repairs administrators may add and review directory entries using listings@truckerrepairs.ca without email codes or the public daily submission limit. This option requires the existing administrator login and CSRF protection; entering that email address in a public form does not grant access. Duplicate, category, language, address and storage checks still apply. Administrator-curated entries are labelled separately and do not claim email confirmation or business-owner verification.

Free submissions and automatic checks

Trucker Repairs is operated by 2243342 Ontario Inc. and sponsored by GTA Freight. Authorized owners or representatives may submit Canadian commercial truck and trailer service listings free. We send a verification email from listings@truckerrepairs.ca to the private contact address supplied. Confirming the email shows access to that inbox; it does not prove business ownership, certification, insurance or service quality.

After confirmation, eligible submissions can publish automatically if the numbered business-base address matches the city and province or territory, no duplicate contact is found, the service description fits the selected categories, and language/spam screening passes. Unclear or unavailable results remain unpublished for administrator review. Administrators can pause automatic approval or unpublish records. Older submissions are not automatically approved by this change. Approval and timing are not guaranteed. Standard inclusion is free and listing order is based on distance.

Business-submitted tire sellers confirm new and used semi-truck/trailer tire sales. The directory also includes researched commercial-truck tire service centres; used-tire availability is not confirmed for every location. Contact the business to confirm stock and service capability. Towing must include heavy-duty tractor-trailer services. Automatically published records are labelled as email-confirmed business submissions; their service claims have not been independently verified. Screening can miss issues or flag legitimate text. Contact the business to confirm capability, stock, opening hours and prices.

Public and private information

Published business name, public address, city/region, phone, public business email, website, services, hours, category claims, base-location estimates, check date and publication type can appear in the app, public feed and listing page. Provide only information you are authorized to publish. Do not submit a private home address. Mobile distances refer to the published business base, not a live vehicle.

Your submitter name and contact email, permission record, email-confirmation timestamp, administrator notes and detailed screening results stay in access-protected storage on Trucker Repairs’ WHC hosting in Canada. Public responses exclude these private fields. Authorized Trucker Repairs administrators can review exceptions. Private contact information is used for verification and listing-related support, not a marketing subscription.

Verification emails and abuse prevention

Confirmation links expire after 30 minutes and are single use. The server stores a hash of the verification secret; the email contains the actual link/code. The link uses a URL fragment, which is not sent to the web server as part of the initial page request. Publication requires a confirmation form submission. Opening an email or its link alone does not approve a record. A person with access to the verification email may be able to confirm it, so do not share it.

We use secure session cookies, a hidden spam field, submission/resend limits and temporary keyed IP hashes to reduce misuse. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the submission data. The hosting provider receives ordinary connection information and may keep access and mail-delivery logs under its policies. Email messages are processed through the existing hosting mail service; recipient email providers also process them. The app’s email sender and Reply-To address are listings@truckerrepairs.ca. No paid AI service receives submission details.

Business card scanning

Scanning is optional. English and French card text is read on your device with locally hosted Tesseract.js. Card photos and raw OCR text are not uploaded to us or sent to an external OCR service. Software and language files may be cached, but card photos are not stored in that cache. Review the suggested details before applying them. Only the completed form you submit is sent to the listings service. Scanning does not verify or publish a business.

Address matching and source data

After email confirmation, or during manual approval, the public business street address, city and province/territory can be sent to Natural Resources Canada’s Geolocator service. Private contact names/emails, phone numbers and device GPS locations are not included. The service searches government and OpenStreetMap address records. Numbered-address matches are cached and shown as business-base estimates; ambiguous, wrong-region and city-centre-only results are held for review. About the service. Duplicate screening compares contact fingerprints against existing app records and submissions. Local language screening uses the MIT-licensed 2Toad word lists with additional rules. Neither check is a certification or proof that no other business exists.

Corrections, removal and retention

Contact listings@truckerrepairs.ca with your business name and submission reference for corrections, withdrawal or privacy requests. We may ask for evidence of authority before changing a listing. Submission records remain until administrator removal or a resolved deletion request. Verification secrets expire after 30 minutes and their stored hash is cleared on successful use. Abuse counters expire on their stated window and are cleaned during subsequent activity. Email copies in sender/recipient systems and hosting logs have separate retention.

Published listings refresh over HTTPS in updated apps and are cached privately for offline use. A withdrawn/corrected record updates after the next successful refresh; offline copies may remain until the device reconnects or its app data is cleared. Refreshes do not include device location, city query or installation identifier. Providers remain independent and listing inclusion does not endorse their work.
